Manifestation Led to What I Call: Private Alignment — Let’s Get Into It #LuxuryLiving

There’s a type of fine living, that, at one point, we are not yet accustomed to. I went for a trail walk yesterday — something very normal in my eyes — with a friend of mine. He continued on about how nice the walk was, how it was “everything”, and so forth. I continued to thank him, but upon realizing how interesting I thought his comments were, he explained that although it all may be a regular routine to me, this is a type of luxury that most people can’t/don’t theoretically, afford

Unexpectedly, I was able to view a very common pastime in my life through a fresh and unique lens. About a week ago from this time, I was sitting on my new couch in my apartment, planning a little outing, and I thought back to my dorm room days. Thinking about all of my late night prayers: all of my hopes, wants, and wishes came to mind. Suddenly, a huge wave of emotion came over me. I realized, in sheer gratitude, that the life I envisioned for myself was slowly unfolding. I had aligned myself to manifest my now.

I thought about what I wrote in my journals mid-decade, and how God has led me out of my own destruction towards my walk in life. Through privately aligning my intentions, God has ALLOWED me to grow.

This morning, I woke up with the concept of: PRIVATE ALIGNMENT

As I’m currently dealing with my current back issues, this is pretty spot on right now! 😭

Private Alignment is the practice of aligning your:

  • Actions

  • Words

  • Values

  • Routines

… in a promise to God.

Whatever your lips utter you must be sure to do, because you made your vow freely to the Lord your God with your own mouth.

Deuteronomy 23:23(NIV)

Have you ever made a promise in secret? Because no one is there to physically hold you accountable, it’s much easier for you to break, right? These commitments that we make to our Lord albeit, often in private, are commitments that are usually the most necessary for us to make. We have a number of examples in the Bible that show us this.

It’s always said that your character is defined not by what you do when others are around, rather, how we conduct ourselves when no one is looking. I like to be consistent. This plays into how I give when no one is watching, how I speak to myself, and speak on others, what goes into my mouth, boundaries that I set for myself, etc. All of that can be influenced very easily by ulterior motives, impulse motivations, and simply leading astray.

Sometimes I look at my relationship with Christ as a private commitment that I willingly make public. As my devotion is not a secret, naturally, certain aspects remain private, like any relationship. No one may ever know the full extent of the relationship you have with Christ. But, YOU know, and HE knows. And if I learned anything this year... You can’t PRAY to God and PLAY God.

If it’s spiritual consistency you yearn for: align your actions, with your words, with your values, with your routines.

When all of the above are not in sync, it is very hard to reach the goals in which you set for yourself with our God, in private, and, of course, mastering the gifts set before you. God nurtured me in ways that I didn’t even know were possible or necessary. It goes to show that many are the plans of man, however, it’s the Lord’s purpose that prevails (Proverbs 19:21).

Even though I didn’t see it, nor quite understand it, it makes sense now more than ever before. I know there will be more understanding to come, as well, as I work towards consistently aligning myself with my intentions, to continue to manifest the life God has for me.

Today, let’s focus on a Private Alignment
